From the multi-generation house to the loft. Intermediate station, including a shared flat. A total of eleven moves. That's my resume in real estate. So the contrast couldn't be greater on the surface. There was probably already something "loft" deep inside me back then, when I was the third of four boys and ran around with my brothers on the 5,000 m² plot of land with lots of meadows and even more fruit trees that belonged to our farmhouse. Staying in the village would never have been an option for me. While one of my brothers completely renovated our parents' house and barn and today continues the multi-generational life together with his own family, I wanted to leave. Away so that I could come back at any time. To come back to the small village somewhere in the middle of nowhere between Würzburg and Tauberbischofsheim. Around 700 inhabitants. Pure rural idyll. Pure rural nothingness. We secretly call the little village "Metropole". For me, this place will always be associated with home, home and family. Family is the greatest good for me. My family has shaped me from an early age. My family has made what I am today possible.

For me, family stands for warmth, closeness and security. But also for loudness - we were four boys after all - for constant compromises and ultimately probably also for tolerance. Growing up with grandparents who lived downstairs had many advantages - but definitely also quite a few disadvantages. The same probably applies to living with three siblings. Although, looking back, I am very happy with my role, at least as the third. My eldest brother definitely had the hardest time. As is so often the case with siblings, the second eldest was the complete opposite.
